I am a designer and textile artist, author of several books and I teach creative textile workshops.
You may have noticed that this is the new website. Please bear with me while I get the various pages written and organised (and the irrelevant menu tabs removed!)
If you have any questions about my work, books or workshops, please get in touch.
My new book 'The 1718 Coverlet: 69 Quilt Blocks from the Oldest Dated British Patchwork Coverlet" will be published soon by D & C. It will be available from The Quilters' Guild of the British Isles at the Festival of Quilts in August, but we anticipate there may be a big demand! To make sure you are among the first to receive your copy, pre order now from The Guild - for just £17.99 (rrp £19.99) - the online shop has lots of lovely 1718 themed gifts and souvenirs too... I've written this book to help raise funds for The Guild's charitable aims which includes the very important upkeep of the biggest collection of antique British patchworks, quilts and coverlets in the British Isles - your can browse the collection online and see just how amazing it is! So this time, I would really like readers to buy their copy from the Guild online and help funds.

Recent e mail problems are continuing - in January 2014 all the saved e mails from 19th December onwards had been deleted from my Orange/Freeserve e mail page. The same thing has just happened on 6th July 2014 and all e mails since 27th May 2014 have gone. No idea why this happened - twice! So if you have mailed me and I haven't replied yet, I may not have a copy of your e mail any more - can you resend it please?
Festival of Quilts, NEC, Birmingham, 7 -10th August 2014 - see FoQ website for more information about the show. Stand no. C43
